Finally, the vision has been realized. The electropop-jazz band Rendezvous is about to make history, ready to release the debut album that everyone has been waiting for feverishly. For the past few years, Hagai Izenberg and Itai Simon, known more commonly by their fans as the band Rendezvous, have been busy creating tracks for their very first album. Izenberg and Simon are working with producer and mixer Dave Bascombe, who has also done impressive work with famous celebrated eighties bands like Depeche Mode and Tears for Fears. When Rendezvous released their first EP, fans from all four corners of the globe have raved about their atmospheric music. Their massive fan base has been hopefully waiting for more of Rendezvous’ acid jazz and electronica songs for years; now, the wait is almost over. While working with Dave Bascombe to produce and finalize the much-awaited debut album, Rendezvous has also had the opportunity to work closely with artistic Israeli filmmaker, Uzi Adam. With a visual artistry that molds well with Rendezvous’ own musical vision, Adam became an indispensable ally to the band, both personally and professionally. The dream was to mingle Rendezvous’ distinctive electronica music with great Israeli filmmaker Uzi Adam’s abstract video footage, resulting in a strong and powerful artistic creation that appeals to both sense of sight and hearing. Having insight about how music works best, Rendezvous realized at an early stage that audio and visual art are best presented together instead of apart. Rendezvous’ first album will also be presented as an audiovisual package, featuring Adam’s coverage of the band and Rendezvous’ music tracks. The video shall be released as separate episodes, corresponding with the tracks of Rendezvous’ debut album. About five years in the making, Rendezvous’ first album promises to go beyond expectations.
