Robert Lee Body was born on March 7, 1978 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. At the age of 2, Robert found his love for music. It all started with the drums. Robert would journey to church each Sunday with his grandmother, Mrs. Queen Body, and beg her to sit him by the drums. The drummer at that time would assure Mrs. Body that he would watch over Robert as well as teach him to play. He did just that. Robert began tapping and playing around on the drums at 5 years old. He was also apart of the “Busy Bees", a children's choir at the church. He sang most of the lead songs for the children’s choir. Robert enjoyed singing in the choir so much that he joined the youth choir and helped out the adult choir as well. Robert's passion for music grew each year until his mother enrolled him in the Milwaukee High School of the Arts (MHSA). This was like Music Heaven to Robert; most of his classes were Vocal and Instrumental classes! Robert graduated from MHSA in June of 1996, with a full 4 year scholarship to Berkley Music School in California. Trapped by a desire to play for his home church, Robert put off the scholarship and continued to help out his home church. Robert has been musically trained by some of the world’s most untapped resources, namely Minister Michael Liddell, Minister Joseph Stewart, Minister Darryl Walker, Glenn Hall, Robert Williamson, etc..... Robert has shared the stage as well as recorded with various musical artists such as: Karen Clark Sheard, Kierra "KiKi" Sheard, J Moss, Twinkie Clark, Asaph Ward, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Mary Mary, Donald Lawrence & Tri City Singers, Yolanda Adams, Vickie Winans, Bishop Paul S. Morton and countless others. Inspired by these artists, Robert decided to pursue a musical career of his own. He has written, arranged, and composed over 100 songs and hymns. Not to mention spiritual songs that come to him via the Holy Ghost! Of course every Christian is tempted and tried by Satan, and Robert has had his share of temptations. He has tried to run away from God numerous times, thinking he could do it his way, but, now turning 29 this year, Robert is set out on reaching his destiny by putting Christ first, Others second, and himself last. Robert now resides in Imperial, California and is currently enrolled at Imperial Valley College as a Music Major. His soon to be released LP entitled "Pray For Me", a single that will come from his full project entitled: “First Impression" has already been a success in the West Coast of the United States. It remains to be seen, what God has in store for............Robert L. Body.
