Biography

Hello, my name is Ron Dadey. Very nice to meet you...Thanks for stopping by for a listen. I will not be writing my Bio in the third person like I see on a lot of pages out there. I think that comes off a little too self indulgent for my taste. I just want to share things about me that are relevant to what you hear on my page. I was in several bands through the years out in the San Francisco Bay Area....Nitro, Matriarch, RDG (the Ron Dadey Group) and Tourist to name a few....We were what I call near misses in the 80's, back in the days of over saturation of very talented groups. Oh well. Life takes its twists and turns. etc. etc. I stepped away from the biz, a matter of self preservation at the time (the 1980 era was a very wild time for me). But that is not why I am here now. I had barely even touched a guitar for more than a decade up until around November 2006 when I felt the urge (more of a need) to get back into it... I went out and bought some gear and started recording whatever I felt like at the time... then threw it out there for folks to hear. When I re-started playing again I had no idea whether anybody would like the music or not...my motives were more personal than that... it was more the need to play again... Once it is in your blood, well you know the rest... I'm just doing my own thing and enjoying life and playing and recording lots of stuff. I have gotten a very positive response from my new friends, which have really been an inspiration to me... I hope you enjoy my music. For whatever its worth I am playing from my heart... Let me know if you enjoy my tunes or not. Don't be afraid to comment! Good or Bad... I value your feedback. Hope to hear from y'all (That's Texan for all of you). There is always room for new friends... Thanks, -Ron
