About Root 66
Roots run deep when it comes to this talented trio. Long-time friends Holly Robinson-Blanton, Stephen Robertson and Brian Porter all come from small North Carolina towns where they were brought up with strong roots in their faith and a passion for the soulful sounds of country music. Their story began in late 2008 when, after time off from singing, the three friends reconnected and found that their desire to minister in song was still burning deep inside. Their love for praise and worship music mixed with a country twist promises to set this group apart. The name Root 66 was derived from a theme that its members are rooted in the teachings of the "66" books of the Bible. Their mission is to build up the body of Christ, and reach as many unbelievers as possible. Their determination and drive, partnered with Son Sound Platinum Records, plans to create a new listening experience for audiences young and not-so-young alike.
