Playing over 100 live shows a year takes its toll on any artist, however they say if you do what you love, then you never work a day in your life. Rory takes his music career one day at a time, from growing up guitar picking on traditional bluegrass, to drumming in the alternative rock scene. Country music became a full time commitment in 2007, after appearing on a CMT nationally broadcasted reality show with other singers from around the country. This spun into a guest appearance on the CMT the Top 20 countdown with Casey Clarke the following year. In 2009 Rory released his debut full length country album titled “Break Free”, co-produced with JR Vautour in Nashville, TN. Three tracks were released nationally to country radio, including a music video for the song “There You Go Again”. In 2010, Rory headed out west on a national radio tour, visiting station after stating promoting the latest single, doing interviews and making a connection with program directors all over the country. He was invited later that year to join the roster of artists playing the Ottawa Country music hall of fame along side the likes of Charlie Major.   2011 kept the ball rolling with Rory sharing the stage with great Canadian artists, such as Aaron Pritchett, and Blue Rodeo as well as a number of American legends at the Blues Festival, including John Fogerty, Cheap Trick and Sound Garden. Recently Rory has gone back to Nashville to start work on the second album, slated for a release late 2012, and states “I’m just anxious to see where this musical journey takes us next”.
