Rubinger is an alternative rock duo from Tel aviv, formed in 2005 by the Rubinger brothers, Yotam (guitar, vocals) and itamar (drums) and their former Bassist Evyatar blich, completing the band's lineup that remain together for 2 years. although initially influenced by 90' heavy rock bands such as Pantera, Tool, Faith no more, Rubinger's style would change by 2007. in 2007 Evyatar has left the band to join the army and from than and on Rubinger has reborn as a duo with a new sound. Rubinger decided to go abroad and to try their luck in London, England. since they had no money for fancy recordings, they made themself a home studio where they recording all of their music. Rubinger now preforming regularly at London's venues, some of the venues Rubinger has performed was: The Rock garden, Boston music room, Bull and gate, Tommy Flynns, Brixton Jam, The mother and many more. their next goal is getting a record deal and spread their music worldwide. Surface unsigned festival 2009 review: Rubinger "A 50/50 split, Rubinger are a double act that double the pleasure, if you’ll excuse the pun, a rock inspiration, a vision almost that reminds me of what can be done with one guitarist and one drummer. When this type of duo is mentioned, comparisons are always drawn to bands like The White Stripes and The Kills who prefer the minimalist approach also. You wouldn’t be too far off I suppose but it would be an injustice to label them so. The vocals are predominant throughout and the drums fit nicely together; you wouldn’t guess there were only two of them, but then again you wouldn’t think a man could walk on the moon".
