Hobbits and cask wine on a weeknight
Saint Athur are Indie-Rock scenesters from Australia, playing spacy, grungy music predominantly about girls and the meaning of life. Oh yes, and you can dance to it.
Jimi and Matt had been playing music together for some time when they ran into bassman Barney, at a Killers concert in the Spring of '07. A mutual love of Interpol, U2 and indie party girls saw the band gel and play a string of shows in '08. The band then set about writing a batch of killer new songs to follow up the debut release, 'welcome to atmo-rock'.
The new material is a step away from the band's earlier work, as the new songs head towards a more dance oriented theme whilst still maintaining the energy and passion expected of a straight up rock show.
So, at the end of the day, none of this really matters...you dig it? Then you'll dig it.
