Biography

It all began for Samantha the year she won Edmonton Alberta’s own Country Vocal Spotlight in 1998. A local singing contest who’s grand prize was to belt out the anthem at the Canadian Finals Rodeo, and onto many festivals in and around Alberta, as a representative for Northlands Park and the Rodeo itself! It all began for Samantha the year she won Edmonton Alberta’s own Country Vocal Spotlight in 1998. A local singing contest who’s grand prize was to belt out the anthem at the Canadian Finals Rodeo, and onto many festivals in and around Alberta, as a representative for Northlands Park and the Rodeo itself! Samantha was only 13 years old at the time, and since then has gone on to perform on various stages both in Canada and The United States! Sharing festival lineups with the likes of Alan Jackson, Keith Urban, Martina McBride, Rascal Flatts, Tim McGraw, Colin James, Jann Arden, and many more. Samantha recorded her debut album in 2002 with acclaimed record producer Tom McKillip (Aaron Pritchett)entitled “This Is Forever”. A collection of all sounds of country music to which Samantha added one of her very own songs “I’m Just So Blue”. Later on she recorded a demo with Nashville producer Ted Hewitt (Rodney Atkins) which later followed with the release of “The All Overs”. The original went on to win the country category for the John Lennon Songwriting Competition in 2006, winning Samantha a beautiful Godin hollow bodied acoustic/electric guitar! Samantha has been nominated twice for Chevy Trucks Rising Star with the Canadian Country Music Awards, as well as has been nominated for independent female recording artist of the year! Samantha is known for her work with various charities such as The World Vision Artists Associate Program, The Michael Cuccionne Foundation, YESS in Edmonton, The Pilgrim’s Hospice Society, Kids Cottage, Relay For life, Easter Seals, etc. Her dedication to her music and her LOVE of music, is sure to send this rising star right to the top!
