Samuel Loomis has rocked his way across the globe for over a decade. With an electrifying blend of melody, musicianship and raw power, he's ready to turn the music world on its head.
After picking up his first six-string as a teenager, Samuel became heavily involved in the New England jam band scene. Galvanized by the events of 9/11, the young musician changed direction and enlisted with the United States Navy. While stationed onboard the Warship USS Nassau (LHA-4), he recorded tracks on the ship's 8-channel analog equipment and brought the start of an album back home after his tour of duty. While perfecting his skills as part the northeastern live circuit, stints as a session guitarist, Loomis is set to break out.
At the root of the his sound is a dynamic blend of power and rhythm that draws comparisons to Stone Temple Pilots, Alice in Chains, and modern day heavyweights such as Breaking Benjamins and Daughtry. Enigmatic harmonies and biting guitar lines are crafted around lyrics that Samuel says "reflect the positive things we can accomplish using our imagination, love and compassion". From funky riffs and wordplay to straight up rock, each track features imaginative lead guitar work and lyrical agility.
This eclectic combination is sure to attract the attention of industry heavyweights. Sam has garnered local radio airplay, a feature in Splash Magazine and regularly headlines music festivals across the Mid-Atlantic. As a seasoned performance veteran, he has done hundreds of shows from coast-to-coast and in parts of Canada. With a dedicated, growing fanbase in tow, Loomis continues light up stages and plans to "jam with my heart on my sleeve and leave nothing but scorched earth in my wake".
The ambitious performer is developing an LP-style compilation in the studio with his debut release, slated for Summer 2011. He looks forward to touring in support of the album and developing licensing platforms for film, television and major media outlets. Standing on the pulse of a rising career, Samuel Loomis is set to reacquaint growing audiences with the spirit of true rock n' roll.
