A native of Rutland, Vermont Sarah Marzalek-Kelly has played piano by ear from the age of 2. At 16 she began to write her own songs. Sarah's first CD "Puddles of Mine" was recorded when she was only 17. Recorded in a mere 8 hours and independently released, it's immediacy and raw emotion made a quick impact. Several songs found radio play on Vermont's highly regarded WEQX 102.7. Gigs around New England and shows at famous New York venues "The Bitter End" and "The Sidewalk Cafe" quickly followed along with showcases at SXSW in Austin, Texas and the Philadelphia Music Conference. Expanding her talents, Sarah was hired to sing on a children's CD/Book. She was also commissioned to write a suite of songs for a production of the play A Turn of the Screw. At age 22, Sarah moved to a suburb of Philadelphia and threw herself into a rediscovery of her playing and songwriting. Her voice and songs have reached a new maturity, and her tiny hands have now accepted guitar. Sonic explorations have extended her aural palette in exciting new ways. She is now searching for the right label to call home, and looks forward to sharing her music with the world.
