Scarlet is an original rock band who already have wisdom beyond their years. Their oldest member, the bassist and lead vocalist Jacob Telford just turned eighteen years old, but to hear them, you would never guess. Comprised also of drummer Zack Rego, lead guitarist Donald Larson, and rhythm guitarist, lead vocalist and drummer Chris Cooney, they utilize the technique of tapping to produce a unique, experimental and mellow sound, and count Maps & Atlases, Minus the Bear and MuteMath as their influences. With a fanbase spanning generations, Scarlet also has experience in a variety of venues including Rusty’s Bar, Jimmy’s Saloon and the renowned Newport Blues Café all in Newport, RI, as well as AS220 and the Brown University Radio Station in Providence, RI. They also recently released a 5-song, self-titled EP, their first fully produced release. They are eager to broaden their horizons and play in new venues more and more and hope that their music will leave a positive impact on any listener and leave us with a reminder of how original music reflects original thinking.
