Shaqua is a talented musician, singer/ song writer. Shaqua's music can be defined as Modern Rock, but is uniquely influenced by his own Folk heritage and its roots go deep to original music legends of Rock, Folk, Rhythm n Blues, soul and funk, such as: Bob Dylan, The Doors, David Bowie, Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Jimmy Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Prince, Nirvana, Alice in Chains, RadioHead, 2pac Shakur, Lenny Kravitz and many more. Shaqua writes, composes and sings all the materials on his album. Shaqua was born in Israel and is an Australian citizen. At the age of 22 Shaqua left his home land and traveled the world. He arrived at Australia and immediately fell in love with the Far away continent. A few years later he became a citizen. Ever since, this exotic continent has captured his mind and soul, its wild nature deeply influencing his music. Shaqua is son to a famous Folk singer in Israel and has been around music and recording studios virtually since birth. Considered a child prodigy with an amazing singing ability, Shaqua has performed regularly in front of thousands, since he was 12 years old. At the age of 17, Shaqua tried to write songs but felt 'it wasn't it' and decided to give up music all together. It took him 12 years of living, loving and traveling the world, before music will come back to his life. In the year 1999 Shaqua starts writing and composing vigorously and performing in small venues around Sydney. He visits his home land and performs there as well. He travels to France and performs there with his father at the 'Cite de la Music' in Paris. Later, he publishes a 5 song EP called '1st taste' and gets his first radio airplay, by one of the most prominent DJ's on national radio. At the beginning of 2008 Shaqua starts performing materials from his soon to come out LP called 'Time has come'. He performs at underground rock venues and starts rallying a group of followers who comes to every show. These days Shaqua is rehearsing for a big tour which will start in the New Year 2009, finishing work on his LP, promoting his music internationally through the web and searching for a suitable record label to call 'Home'.
