Sherita, was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. She began writing lyrics in elementary school, using this as a way to escape her surroundings. Writing raps, Sherita found her protection...her shield...her way out. During childhood Sherita was known as “Sweet Ree-Ree” and Timeka (her older sister) “Easy T”. Together they would take on dance or rap competition battles with other teens in and around the neighborhood. They participated in school talent shows, park events, events for the boys and girls club, and many social and spiritual organization events. Suffering many hardships and battling it all, simply by believing and putting her faith in her dreams. Sherita went Solo and represented a sexy...rugged man-driven look... that wasn’t new to the music world! Her rivals included Foxy Brown, Lil Kim and Trina. But Sherita's music style drove a more controversial issue... Due in part to her rebellious nature, sexual lyrics and profanity filled tracks. This was a Direct Response to the Male-Dominated Rap industry known for disregarding women in many hit songs. Sherita possesses a presence and persona that looms and continues to effortlessly captivate, seduce, provoke and entertain. Surrounding herself with an up and coming creative production team out of Detroit, Mich. Sherita set out to get even with everybody who didn’t believe in her. I believe in myself; I just needed people around to bring that out. Im the happiest I’ve been in awhile. I want people to know, I’m a real person who goes through real things and I’m still growing like everyone else. Sherita released her first Debut Album What B**ches Wont Say! and a Mix tape Promotional. She’s recorded with Demo’s, The Disc, Jiggy Records plus several other local studios throughout the Detroit Metropolitan Areas. Sherita has worked with well talented Artists: T Church...Ava... Poe Whosaine...Knoc-Ma...Esham...Diamond Dog... Boss(the original of Def Jam)...Muff-Man, Chedda Boy (Malik), Gladiator... etc. The result is a stellar collection that shows Sherita’s Lyrical prowess and versatility, as well as her growth as a businessperson...as a woman...and as an artist. Sherita’s work takes the listener on a journey from the streets to the club...to the heart of a woman who has experienced the extremes of life. Sherita has grown from one of Hip-Hop’s unknown to one of the most well rounded, insightful artists.
