After releasing her debut self-produced EP in late 2010 (Recorded in Liverpool, England - http://shim.bandcamp.com), Shim is now working on a first full-length, while gaining interest by both industry and fans. Born in sunny Tel Aviv, Shim first played guitar at the age of 12 and was mostly drawn to British and American rock’n’roll and folk music. She quickly began writing songs, discovered her own unique sound and participated in different projects both as a singer and as a guitarist/arranger. Her strong, bottomless passion for music eventually brought Shim to the UK where she studied at Paul McCartney's old school - The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA), and had the privilege of working with many gifted artists including a local talent, Blues guitarist Keith Xander, who is also featured on Shim’s EP. She’s also had the pleasure of supporting American cult guitarist Trace Bundy and meeting Travis’s Fran Healy who complimented her work. In addition to several radio stations and online magazines in Israel, The popular German radio station ‘Fritz’ has also discovered Shim’s EP and played the opening track, ‘Drama Queen’, on their successful show - ‘Trackback’. Shim’s songs are characterized by catchy yet powerful melodies, and a warm, rootsy sound. She possesses a deep, soothing voice and is recognized for her heartfelt, authentic performances. “Listening to Shim's first single "Riverbound" makes us assume she grew up in North America. Her slide guitar makes it sound like American Country-Rock that could have been released on Conor Oberst' label Saddle-Creek... "Riverbound" set the bar pretty high and makes us very excited.” (Reeperbahn Festival, Hamburg)
