From different parts of the State, the members of Shoveltooth have come together for the love of playing Solid Rock Music! Each of these incredible musicians has been in a few different bands. Some of them sound familiar, yes, you've probably seen them before - but together they've formed one of the most Incredible Rock Bands to date. Ranging from heavy power rock to multi-textured altered-state sound to acoustic-electric, Shoveltooth performs the original rock compositions of songwriters Josh Hall, Frank Newberry, Chris Antrobus, and Jason Moore. Josh’s vocals are a unique blend of powerful and unique balls-to-the-wall sound, and the guitar work of Frank ranges from crunching riffs to powerful blues based leads to sweet and clean melodies. The rhythm section is alternatively tight and wild. Frank Newberry and Josh Hall have extensive touring, writing and recording experience. Frank is a versatile and creative guitarist. A self described "pedal geek" Frank’s guitar playing is textured, heavy, melodic, and crafted. He's a wild and fun performer, performing his guitar and effect wizardry with seemingly effortless abandon. Josh Hall has what many have called one of the most versatlile voices in all of rock. While he can swoon you with soft sweet melodies, he can also blow out your ear drums with gritty and powerful screams. Chris Antrobus is a long time veteran of the Central USA music scene, and is a unique blend of rock and melody. His bass riffs range from solid and heavy to intricate melodic lines that compliment each song. Chris brings his wide range of influences to Shoveltooth’s insane sound. Drummer Jason Moore’s creative rhythms form the powerful backbone of Shoveltooth’s sound. A National music veteran, hard hitting Jason is as fun to watch as he is to listen to.
