Turrell Sims was born August 17, 1987 in Fort Smith, Arkansas He lived in Fort Smith for approximately 19 years before moving to Glenn Heights, TX to pursue a music carrer. After meeting up with producers, like "Play-N-Skill" and artist like "Tum-Tum", "Players Circle", and other Texas musicians, he decided to give his city(Fort Smith) another chance. So, in May, of 2008, he moved back to his former residence and collabed with artist like "Live Sosa", "Pbze T.O", "Percy P", and other "A-State"talent. Currently working on his Album intitled, "Sims101- A New Beginning", debuting the Fall of 2009, he's found time to re-establish himself with his former group, "Nustr*"; featuring "King Kold" and The artist formally known as "Dai". Although seeking a music career, he is still attending the University of Arkansas Fort Smith, working towards his Masters Degree in music education & vocal music. Attempting to be the first from his city and state to achieve national, and eventually worldwide exposure, he constantly writes, produces, and critiques his music to the best of his ability. When asked how he finds time to do what he does he simply replied, " I don't.." then elaborated by saying, "Time is not the issue when you're doing something you love.. Yet, heart and confidence are the only determining factors". Every so often an artist comes around with a certain uniqueness that grabs you from the opening statement,(Sims), and then gets better with each listen. Every song on the new album represents the rebirth of Hip-Hop & music all together. The fascination with this new breed of modern musician is his instinctive ability to connect multiple varities of music, while shaping and molding it into his own making. He plays a new popular brand of music combining Hip Hop, Electro-Hop, Rock, R&B and Rap music styles. He embraces stellar song writing with impeccable musical talent.
