He as often been told that he reminds and/or sounds like a certain hip-hop legend, but he just takes it as a compliment and continues to be himself. The only way to be different from everyone one else, is to be yourself, because no one can do that but yourself...so that's exactly what he does. Skinny-C is a street-smart and book smart individual who isn't afraid to show his intelligence regardless of what others may think. Who can he be compared to? No one. He is a recipe of divine ingredients: The ambition of Tupac; The drive of Kanye; The militancy of Dead Prez; The charisma of Outkast; Uniqueness of Devin the Dude; Cool like Snoop; Lyrical like Big Daddy Kane; Smooth like B.I.G., Dedication of Nas; Underrated like Pun; Loyalty of UGK; Business savvy like Jay-Z; Message carrier like Mos Def; Passion of Goodie MOB; Rebelness of Public Enemy; Mind of his own; roll it all in one and you get Skinny-C the NEXTABLO. Every artist has their own way of expressing themselves, it just so happens that we are in an era where MOST artists choose to express themselves through their "swag", braggadocio, and obsession of materialistic items and disrespect towards women revealing they have bo respect for the art and culture of hip hop. Not taking anything away from those guys, instead not giving them credit because it is surely not due unless speaking on the blame of hip hop being in ICU. Skinny chooses to use his voice as a positive outlet with a goal to resurrect hip hop. That's right hip hop is dying in ICU, rap is in effect. The concept of originality has been ignored while imitators and "monkey see monkey doers" are being uplifted. However Skinny has too much pride to sale his soul just to be accepted by the mainstream and converted into a radio freak. Goodie MOB said it best, "they don't dance no more", but know it seems as we are dancing too much like porch monkeys for the bossman. So if you like to lean & snap, bust heads, or hear about the dope game...this is the wrong page for you to be visiting.
