On May 15,1982 Louise Ham and Roscoe H. Kelley gave birth to their first born,Roscoe I. Kelley. Since day one, the nick name "LIL ROCKY" was placed on him. Being that his father's nickname was "ROCKY". Residing in the city's Wilbur Section of Trenton,New Jersey,he found his place of living revolved around nothing but family. His Father, a dedicated hard working man, even to this day,put in hard work for his son, barely giving him a chance to rest in days. While his Mother took care of him along with much and well assistance from Aunts, Uncles, and Grandmothers. His mother raised Lil Rok up in a church environment. From then,he had a fascination with drums. Older brother Sam "Unikh" Hood, played the drums for a while before going off to the Army. that image stuck in his head of creating happiness all from the beat of a drum. Years passed, and Roscoe found himself falling in love with music of all kinds by listening to different radio stations. His father was a heavy Jazz fan, and Grandfather whom he never meet, was a well respected musician in the city of Trenton. Playing instruments such as Guitars,Saxophones,Keyboards,Clarinet, and Trumpet. He played at a local Night Club called "The B.T. Lounge" He was widely known as "Texas Slim" His mother was and still a well respected gospel singer in any church that she goes to. With all that fused into him,and at the time where hip-hop was exploding on the scene,he couldn't help but to want to be involved. From beat-boxing all around the house, where ever he walked,in school, out of school. Even being the beat maker on lunch tables in local public schools, battling out with others, mimicking their favorite tunes. Roscoe took it a step further and started add his own music from the top of the head that amazed others, just by being able to come up with different tunes on the spot and changing them so quickly. One thing he couldnt do,was be able to get a chance to rhyme, because no one else was good at the beatboxing or banging on tables. So he stayed with ryhmes in his head. In High School, things continued. He meet others that were interested into music. Linking up with other family members, they came to the agreement to start working on songs together. He was then given the name "Skoe" Short for Roscoe. The name stuck. From then on,friends added "Minati" to the name out of respect for being able to work, chill, commuinicate, and hang around all high school social groups. From the Black,to the Italians,Latinos, Goth, Head of the Class, upper lower and middle class, The Dean, Principal, the security and even the teachers drew to him as a neutral source to communicate with students. Older cousin Sherwood Brown III, brought a beat machine for little brother Nick Brown because of the talent he said that Roscoe had. from then on, he produced music of all kinds, but mostly Hip-Hop,R&B. Working out of the house,he's made tracks for all family members that wanted to be involved. Putting together a few albums, Such as the first, "Why Not? What Else Is There To Do?" Which consisted of all original beats with special guest appearances with beats by DJ DRAMATIC. The CD sold out of local store M&M's DELI. Hollywood-Krazy Diaz") He played with different styles of rapping and forming his flow and voices to different beats, just to make it sound like there were a lot of features. Only two peolpe knew that Skoe,Rok?,Krazy,Rocky were all one in the same. Nick and Sherwood. Skoe? would secretly take tracks home and record on them, then bring them back to the crew as if he got others to fill in the songs.
