In essence – the man, the music, the artist is comprised of two distinct elements; one) the silky sensitive side having heartfelt emotions and two) the inner city harder edged side emulating the sounds and struggles of the ghetto. This is an artist possessing the inherent ability to connect with his listener. His musical heroes include R&B and Gospel legends such as; Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Al Green, The Winans, David Ruffin, Michael Jackson, Donny Hathaway and New Edition coupled with a more modern approach from contemporary crooners the likes of which include Usher and D’Angelo. His sound is soulful and heartfelt speaking directly to, and touching the hearts of ladies everywhere. This 23 year old Chicago native has been capturing hearts with his soulful and magnetic sound and stage presence since the tender age of 3. Slique began to write, arrange and produce as a teen for other artists such as Entourage, Cherish, Strong and many others. He has worked with notable producers and artists such as; Percy Bady, Earl Robinson, Earl Powell, Antonio Dixon of the Underdogs, Do or Die, Public Announcement, Crucial Conflict, and Majic Massey. Perhaps more dynamic than his stellar vocal chops is his gift to reach audiences as a performer – Slique is an entertainer! In the true sense of the word – entertainer, Slique has a dynamic live performance incorporating a smooth seductive dance style which captivates all who have the opportunity to see him perform.
