Joey Ofori is Smooth4Lyfe, an artist who puts as much energy in his music as he has in his personality. Born and raised in Silver Spring, MD, he always had a passion for all styles of music. He first created his first electronic album at 14 with a small DJ mixer set on a PC, and from that day on, he knew he had calling in this industry. Starting as a Hip Hop artist, he later decided to change gears and create music matching his energetic personality, and mixing the two genres together, Smooth4Lyfe creates which he calls “Club Hop”, a mixture of lyrical Hip Hop and high energy club beats. Lyrically, he is hip hop, and is able to tell stories, make jokes, motivate, and inspire, keeping an old school flow and mixing it with the sounds of today. Instrumentally, he is high impact house, with sounds and beats similar to those of David Guetta, Black Eyed Peas, Flo Rida, and LMFAO.   Smooth4Lyfe has had his music played all around the world, and has had many nominations for his songs, including one for the L.A. Music Awards Hip Hop Song of the Year in 2008, and top placement in the Billboard Music Awards. He has also been featured on 3 full pages of Acid Jazz magazine. Smooth4Lyfe currently has many albums released, including his popular and highly demanded “Hip Hop & RnB Instrumentals” volume series. Though his earlier releases came from a “non-serious” approach, he began taking his music more seriously, coming out with “Club Hop”, released in 2008. He later came out with “Welcome 2 My House”, released in 2010, and his most satisfied album “Everyday It Goes Down” which was released February 29, 2012. Even though he currently chooses not to perform and tour seriously at the moment, his passion for music and the energy of his fans will keep him alive, putting more music for his fans to enjoy.
