Originally Sonamulate was a solo act, Justin Banks started Sonamulate in 2001. Justin recorded his album "The Rise of The Falled" with Stuart Stuart from Chartsong Australia in 2005. Afterwards Justin won first place in Rock and Alternative in the Unisong international Songwriting competition and later became the only person ever to win Unisong twice after winning 1st prize again in the following year. Once this was accomplished there was a great deal of interest shown in this Album so Justin recruited Damien McCluer ( Drums ) Michael Miller ( Guitars + Vocals ) and Luke Hams ( Bass ). Sonamulate was asked to play in North By North East in Toronto, and was featured in an Indie Australian Movie "Killer Bikini Vampire Girls III" Sonamulate was in the top 50 for Alternative in Music Oz and were the 13th most popular band of all Genres for 6 months on Bandspace.com with 133,000 song plays and 70,000 site visits over 8 months.
