Hailing from North Carolina, this Pop/Rock Trio consists of three close friends from college that reunite in an attic and start playing music and writing songs together. While influenced by acts like The Police and U2, Let's Get Mikey found themselves compared to acts like Gin Blossoms and Toad The Wet Sprocket after the release of their critically well recieved album, "Crazy Days". The 10 song effort was produced by Jamie Hoover (The Spongetones, Don Dixon and Marti Jones), and Jack Cornell (The Fabulous Knobs, The Woods, and Terry Anderson and The Olympic Ass Kicking Team)...two stalwarts of the North Carolina music scene. Let's Get Mikey - Bryan Shumate (lead vocals and guitar), Eddie Snuggs (backing vocals and bass) and Nat Hammer (drums) spent a lot of time on the road playing bars and colleges and the occasional pool hall. Along the way sharing the stage with such notables as Hootie And The Blowfish, Wide Spread Panic and The Woods. In 2017, the trio began work on a follow up to "Crazy Days". These recently mined rhythm tracks were completed and produced by Let's Get Mikey themselves. On this new release, while sounding fresh and current, the band hasn't strayed too far from the sounds and energy that brought them a loyal following. The six songs on "Get Somethin' With This..."will leave you wanting more.
