In a modern age of urban gang culture and hip-hop music, there finally comes an authentic tribe named SPLITBREED. This unique band continues a legacy of hardcore musical talent, Polynesian warrior spirit, pop-sensibility and blood ties. Real blood ties! SPLITBREED is made up of brothers Kalani, Taui and cousin Joey Mo’e. All three descended from island entertainment royalty, grandsons of pioneers of Hawaiian music Pulu and Lousia Mo’e and Tau and Rose Mo’e of the famous Tau Mo’e group. Though Kalani, Taui and Joey share the same heritage and proud Mo’e name, they have not always been together. While Kalani and Taui were growing up in Hawaii, Joey was a world away being raised in Denmark. Still, it’s no coincidence that while the brothers were honing their musical chops in the islands, Joey was teaching himself English and becoming a star in the European R&B scene. After all, music and storytelling is in their genes! SPLITBREED is the potent culmination of all paths converging for the talented Mo’e boys. Surprisingly, Joey only met Kalani and Taui in 2007. But in that moment they knew they were meant to be together. Not only alike in physical stature; tall, tanned, Hapa princes with the flashing smiles of their ancestors. Similar life experience of being exposed to a variety of people and cultures has given the Mo’e boys the ability to appeal to the masses through their music. Maybe that’s why SPLITBREED has chosen to make their home in the melting pot of Las Vegas, America’s fastest growing city. SPLITBREED is an undeniable force of sound made up of the Mo’e tribe. But it’s also shaped by the personal traits of its components. Joey Mo’e brings his amazing voice and experience as an R&B superstar in Europe having performed in over 100 venues from clubs to stadiums worldwide. Kalani Mo’e brings a fiery lyrical passion and booming voice that rises from the depths of his soul. Taui Mo’e brings an intense, simmering wit and poetic intelligence to the mix.
