James “Stewdabaker” Stewart was born and raised in the most southern state in the US, Florida by way of Tampa. Life started out on the eastside of the city right in College Hill projects. The middle child of three but the baby boy of the family remembers his childhood like it all just happened yesterday. Raised by a single mother with dad going in and out of the picture, Stew was determined not to allow his obvious sub par surroundings dictate what the rest of his days were going to be like. Struggling and living with just the basic necessities was a way of life. Survival and sacrifice were just two of the many lessons learned growing up in da hood. Stewdabaker was always a lover of music but this thang called Hip Hop had him hooked and locked in ever since he heard artist such as outkast and nas. He was never interested in making music until high school though. His big homie, T-Brown aka Doc Feel Good put him on his first track and it’s been on ever since. The mixture of living in the south and being raised in a big city allows the young mc to have a diverse view of what the life of the everyday person is like no matter where he or she resides. He prides himself on being able to rap about universal content and not being scared to try different flows and flavors. The unique masculine tone of his voice separates him from being mistaken for any other rapper or mc. His intent is to make the listener experience pain and love all at the same time while enlightening and entertaining the masses through his music.
