About Stoni Taylor
Offering his own brand of soul-inspired rock with progressive blues influence, Stoni Taylor is an elite performer who has mastered his craft. His voice drips androgyny as he wails lyrics birthed from the abyss of his own raw emotion. His songs tell stories of life and struggle and are spawned from the mystic wisdom of greats like Hendrix and Joplin – kindred spirits who also dwelled in the belly of blues-rock.
A native of Atlanta, Stoni began performing under the apprenticeship of actor Bill Nunn. Excelling on stage, he soon found himself cast for parts in musicals like “West Side Story” and the unreleased life story of Marvin Gaye. Realizing his affinity for music, he went on to intern for a small record label; eventually networking his way into a production deal with Coastal Records. This deal led to an offer from Universal Records that he declined in an effort to maintain his authenticity. It was after walking away from this deal that he realized the benefit of being an independent artist. Exploring his new found freedom, he formed Stratagem Music Media, LLC – an independent media outlet through which he self-releases as a flagship artist. He’s also performed on tickets with respected acts like the P-Funk All-Stars, Indigo Girls, and Whild Peach.
