SUBSTANCE
Shawn Anderson has grown up and lived his whole life in Port Huron, Michigan. He loved all styles of music when he was young, but had a deep love for the “Motown-inspired" hip-hop sound.
“I plan to bring hip hop back with feeling, meaning, and "substance". I concentrate on making music that is true to me and reflects my life and experiences - songs that people can often relate to as if I read their mind. “
"BLACK MARKET" substance's official debut album ,which released on october 21st. features the 1st single release titled "HUSSLIN" FEAT BOY PHRESH prod by chysty .His new song ”NOT 2 DAY" can also be found on his new CD, “BLACK MARKET”. This single is sending out a message loud and clear - “Message to anybody trying to keep me down, judge me, or hold me back , NOT 2 DAY”. This new CD will be out in OCTOBER 21ST of 2010.
This CD is very representative of who SUBSTANCE truly is as an artist. It captures the direction that he is taking in his life and in his music career.
