Do you hear that buzz? That one that’s steadily getting louder, and won’t go away? That’s the sound of the Swarm approaching. Be afraid. Swarm Theory arrived on the Raleigh scene in early 2008, forging a unique sound that stands alone in a sea of generic copycat artists. Playing an eclectic mix of thrash and progressive metal that twists and turns through the sonic landscape, Swarm Theory's diverse sound includes everything from operatic ballads to all out mosh-pit monsters. Their energetic stage presence has won over fans young and old. After various line-up changes in early 2009, Swarm Theory has solidified into a formidable unit. With the combination of Joe’s powerful melody and Lee Harless’ intense screams and growls, Swarm Theory’s songs have found new meaning. Rob “Ole’ School,” formerly of Oracle brings his 27 years of knowledge and talent on lead guitar, with powerfully driven riffs broken by intenstine-twisting solos. Trinity Esper’s keyboard brings classical influences, and provides the songs a mesmerizing rhythm. And behind them all, one of the most talented newcomers to the music scene, Dizzy masterfully manipulates his drum kit. Swarm Theory has worked with numerous local bands, and has opened for such well known national acts as Mushroomhead, Green Jelly, Straight Line Stitch, The Autumn Offering, Wednesday 13, Darksun, Dangerous New Machine, Motograter (2x) and Powerman 5000. They have recently recorded their first demo, and will continue tearing up the road with their legendary live show. Feed the Hive. Join the Swarm and spread the buzz.
