San Diego's Tantrum Ennay grew up in the shadows of the Sunset Strip in the 80's. Inspired by bands of the local scene such as Janes Addiction, Van Halen, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Fishbone, just to name a few, Tantrum found a fertile musical environment in the Pasadena/Arcadia suburbs of Los Angeles. Having been influenced by a various mix of metal bands from the era, Tantrum eventually found himself carrying his heavy guitar influence to the San Diego Funk/Metal hybrid band,Grooveyard, where they found moderate success in the San Diego and Las Vegas scene, performing live on the Mikey Show, and playing with top local and Vegas acts such as Mower, God Among Men, Phatter Than Albert, Ghoul Spoon, Honey Bucket and D-Frost. Upon the break up of the band, Tantrum found the opportunity to explore different avenues of musical creation that were not possible in a band situation. From those years came the Negative Spaces recordings, an eclectic mix of orchestral, ambient electronica , groove and acoustic tracks that left his style impossible to pinpoint but undeniably emotional and moving. It was during this time that Tantrum began to perform out live once again, performing bass duties with San Diego musician Angel Short as a way of staying sharp, creatively, and expanding his musical foundation. In doing so, Tantrum was re-inspired to revisit his "hard" roots. Having enjoyed the peaceful and productive solitude of writing/performing/producing almost every aspect of the Negative Spaces release, Tantrum was more interested in challenging himself to create every aspect of every track instead of dealing with a band situation, thus he selfishly opted to do the same with the new "Tantrum" project as he had done previously with Negative Spaces. Listeners can expect an array of musical styles that will all congeal into a unique blend of musical textures that will equally contrast and compliment each other. Sarcasm, irony and cynicism will be blended with elements of Hard Rock, Metal, R&B, Hip-Hop, and acoustic ballads. The Motto: If you don't come hard, come all over the place. Tantrum is currently in production of his upcoming EP titled "Spilt Milk".
