Tech was born and raised in Dallas, TX in the early 80’s, but did not have the relaxed southern lifestyle you would expect. Tech’s parents divorced when he was only 8 years old. At this time, his father was also diagnosed with the terminal illness Lupus. Concerned for his father’s health, Tech chose to live with his father and became his primary caregiver. Having so much responsibility at such a young age forced Tech to grow up much faster than most. Being overwhelmed with his responsibilities, Tech often turned to music for relief. As a young Hispanic, Tech was raised to believe his future was limited. But Tech’s determination did not allow him to accept these limits. As a senior in High School, Tech enlisted to serve in the Unites States Marine Corp. Before his departure, Tech learned that he would soon become a father. The news motivated Tech even more to pursue his dreams. Facing the obstacles serving as a proud Marine and being so far away from his son, Tech once again used music as his only form of therapy. Stationed in Maryland, his love for music led him to DJ and produce for local artist in the area. In late 2001 Tech established his own record label “Scratch and Spin Productions” and attracted major attention to his sound. After completing his military service in 2004, Tech returned to his hometown in Dallas TX. When he returned, Tech stepped up his game by rapping and became a true competitor in the hip hop scene. Tech’s music is driven by the life he lives; pure pain, love and determination. What started off as a remedy to life struggles turned into a mass obsession for his voice to be heard. I n early 2005 Tech released the album entitled "ALL OR NOTHING" which represented the underground scene and featured artist from Texas to Ohio. In spring of 2007 he released “Only in Texas Vol. 1 Mixtape”, a collaboration of Scratch and Spin artists. Now focused as a solo artist, he is currently working on his solo album entitled "IT IS WHAT IT IS" that is scheduled to release in the January 2008. Tech is a one man show from producing, to rapping, to promoting. Known for always walking the dark road alone, Tech is determined and will succeed. He is an example that you can live your life through your dreams.
