Ted Watson, native to the Washington DC area, has experienced and retained valuable training with the musical depth of great players and writers that so few are ever fortunate enough to shake hands with. Writing and producing a very organic and classic rock style with a twist of “Ted” that only he can emulate, Tenby is quickly rising in a field scattered with dreams where only a few really ever make it. While growing up, Ted began playing piano at the age of 5 and guitar at age 10. His musical genius doesn’t take time off; while on a family vacation, his parents stopped at a local music shop. Ted picked up a harmonica and in no time had taught himself the instrument that few learn to truly master. With deep seeded roots in the music industry tracing back to his grandfather, who had grown up with the legendary Hank Williams, Ted is truly an amazing writer well beyond his years. When playing at Patrick Buehll’s private party, Buehll stated, “He’s good looking and the crowds are going to love him.” Ted or otherwise known as Tenby, loves to attend the Glastonbury Rock Festival in England every year, knowing that many of the legends that we all admire today have been born, raised and cultured there before rising to stardom in America. While his influences remain with legends such as Bob Dylan, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Johnny Cash, Billy Joel, Coldplay and Elvis Costello, Ted is creating a musical path and journey that will lead many to include his name on their influences list in years to come. With such a broad and diverse musical background, there’s no wonder that Ted’s music is filled with passion and credibility that only a seasoned writer with years of experience can articulate with such a degree of eloquence.
