Tepetricy was born a walking, talking, toddler in July of 2003, a band built by the definition: "Standing together, united, in a state of aggressive euphoria." Tepetricy, is a vast ocean filled with epic ballads of despair exploding into an awe-inspiring sense of euphoric tension and aggression. Their sound, described as 'motion music', is crafted by their exciting, high-energy live show and an overwhelming height of emotion. They resemble a combination of acts such as Dream Theater, 30 Seconds to Mars, Mudvayne, Thrice and the Deftones. Aaron ‘Train’ Peterson, creator, composer and guitarist, plugs this masterful and epic music into a simple MIDI program on his home computer with each instrument’s part included in his compositions. Initially, the MIDI playback would sound like a toy store filled with hundreds of unsupervised children, but after cleverly arranging the music, the playback would sound like a digital symphony. Train’s compositional influences spark from anything by Dream Theater, Metallica and Megadeth to Ace of Base, Henry Mancini, Paul Oakenfold and even video game music! Robin Rapsys, his best friend, has an extensive background in almost all styles of drumming from jazz to metal. Prior to Tepetricy, Robin obtained a Bachelors degree in jazz studies while playing in numerous jazz combos and rock & metal bands. Rapsys' talent and knowledge in music theory proves to be crucial for Train's sometimes complex orchestrations. It also allows him to add his own colors to the music while bringing it to an extreme height of energy with a style of drumming that does not go unnoticed! Stage left is Victor Quade on keyboards. Victor was found as a math junkie with an astounding memory and an ear comparable to musicians with perfect pitch. Victor's role in the band’s sound is essential in bringing forth the vision with countless textured colors and crafty synthesized sounds. A vocalist for this project had to be ready for constant challenges; someone that could mold these varied soundscapes with the utmost confidence and integrity as he described this world of sound. Steven Fremling with his story-telling lyrics and dynamic vocal cords, which shred at one moment and soothe the next, fit this description. William ‘Wilyum’ Campbell, bass player and brain-child of former progressive/experimental band, "Inconvenience," took the role as fifth member in 2005. Wilyum embraces an influence that differs from the others, taken from hard-core acts such as ‘Between the Buried and Me’ and ‘Sikth.’ Wilyum’s sub-woofing onslaught comes from his amazing 6-string bass as he navigates through each song in a purposeful way. This wide range of influences, inspirations and musical backgrounds gives Tepetricy a sound like no other, which is apparent in their music. Curtis Becker, a rock reviewer from Emurg.com, agreed with their effort, "...Tepetricy is one of those rare bands who are truly unique. They have a sound that is all of their own." As did Adam Marx of New Rock News, "These guys are totally out of the box when it comes to sound." Tepetricy is not just a band that claims they are original, they have been branded with this statement time and time again.” Bands Tepetricy has earned the opportunity to share the stage with: POWERMAN 5000 Red Brian 'Head' Welch Tantric Sonata Arctica Dope Soil Nothingface Earshot FLAW Motograter Candlemass RIKETS Butcher Jones 3 Inches of Blood Darksun Psychostick Instrumentation Steven Fremling - Vocals Aaron Peterson - Guitar, Back-up Vocals William Campbell - Bass, Back-up Vocals Victor Quade - keyboards Robin Rapsys - electronic percussion, Drums Discography "Intangibles of Tomorrow" - 2010 "Challenger" - Single - 2010 "Shaking the Rust Internally" - 2007 "Tepetricy Within the System Walls EP" - 2004
