Why SilverBeat As most any Beatle fan can tell you, John Lennon wanted to name his band with a similar name to a Cricket due to his love for Buddy Holly and the Cricket's music. A Beetle is similer to a Cricket. He used the letters Beat in place of Beet in the the word Beetle to represent Beat music. Taking a page from Lennons book is how SilverBeat came to be. The name SilverBeat is used from two of the names The Beatles used. Beat is from the first four letters of the Beatles, and silver is from when the Beatles called themself The Silver Beetles. Who is SilverBeat I have been writing songs since the time I was able to talk. Tunes would always find a way in and out of my mind. It didn't matter if I had words for the tunes, they came out in some form or sound any way. playing around with guitars, piano and drums as a kid, he settled on the piano. First came the Guitar: I remember Playing an old beat up guitar on a farm house we onced lived on. I played it from time to time till I think it was down to two stings. I was about 9 or 10 at the time and we didn't have the money for strings or to pay for the needed direction that I must have needed badly. thinking back I must have just been making up my own cords. Second came the drums: Playing the drums was always a lot of fun for me. As a teenager, I saved up enough money to buy a used set from a friend of mine. I think I payed around 50 bucks for them. However it didn't work out very well, due to the fact, I never got to play them much. I had a large familey, and someone or many of them had been home all most always. If I tryed to play, I would have to get ready to defend myself at the same time. howevery there is one time I remember that every one had gone shopping but me, and I had the house to myself for about two hours. I put on a Beatles LP, I think it was Ruber soul. I worked very hard to keep up with Ringo that night. Thats my best memory of playing the drums Meet at The Jacaranda "Meet At The Jacarana" is SilverBeats First CD. The Cd is full of Pop/Rock delights the take you back to the 60s and 70s. You can capture an image of what it must have been like to live in the 60s music seen, with "SilverBeats song "Imagine". If you lived through the 60s you can recall your love wlile you listen to a 60's beat and a 60's over all sound. If you didn't live though the 60's. you can find your love for the 60's in the song, just imagine while you sit back and lite up. The Jacarana is where John Lennon and Stuart Sutclffe had a drink together from time to time. This took place in the basement of the Jacaranda Club, Witch still stands in the heart of Liverpool today. The music on jacranda has been so inspired by The Beatles, there was no choice, but to name the Cd after a place that was an old drinking hole of Lennon's and Sutciffes. The song "She loves You" I wrote on my way from Liverpool to Dublin. I Wrote it about my Visit to liverpool, Penny lane, Strawberry Fields and all the rest. She Love You is used to display my love for Beatles music in general, nothing more than that. Grove End Road SilverBeat's Second CD "Grove End Road", is full of heart and desire for the sheer love of writing more than just tunes and lyrics but vision as well. Listen and take a walk down Grove End Road, a place we all know but find it hard to put our finger on. It's full of fun and lust for life, all The best things we want, emotions we run into by pure accident, never really knowing how, or controlling them at all. Not far from london is the cross walk we know of due to a grand photpgraph of The Beatles LP Abbey Road. Take a walk down Abbey Road as the fab four did in August of 1969, and you will find yourself just steps away from Grove End Road, to the right of you Sitting In The Grapes Silverbeat's forthcomming, and third compact disc "Sitting In the Grapes" is set to be out by mid October 2009. With songs like do you Understand The Meaning" and "This Is The Time Of Your Life", "Jamie's Sorrow", "No - not Again", "It's Only love", I'll Be Right Here With You", "Sitting In the Grapes", is not just a place or a CD, It's a state of mind. While keeping the 60's and 70's sound, "sitting in the Grapes" is a break from what was captured for SilverBeats first two Compact discs Next years compact disc Four songs are in the can for next years compact disc: "I Don't Wanna Be A Rock Star", "It's getting Better", "My Love" and "Torn Between My Choices".
