DaveBob plays properly strung Guitar and sings like a silver bird.DenBob plays upside-down left-handed Guitar and sings like a bird with rapidly thinning feathers.PaulBob man-handles the drums and cymbals like there is no tomorrow and PeteBob flails the Bass like Peter Tork in Cream! The AcoustiBobs hail from Mt. Pilot, IL which is a tiny hamlet off of Route 409 between Batavia and Joliet. The music they serve up is a tasty stew of 50’s, 60’s, & 70’s Rock-n-Roll, some classic country tunes, a few songs not too old, and even a generous portion of original tunes. For years, DaveBob and DenBob played in a band called “BOB AND BOB” that was once voted the “9th best oldies band in Mt. Pilot.” Some of the other bands they played in together include: Uncle Clem, The Treblemakers, Beer Muscles, The Identical Strangers, The Former Saints, The Never Famous, Monkey Chow, The Sinus Martyrs, The Slaughterhouse Vegetarians, The Brave Cowards, The Amish Marauders, Antique Torture Devices, The Other Four Tops, and The Three Joe Bessers. When The AcoustiBobs play, they always have a ton of fun and so does the audience that is watching them as they are apt to grab a tambourine or kazoo and join them onstage at anytime!Their debut CD, “GREETINGS FROM MT. PILOT” is not available yet as it hasn’t been recorded…--the same goes for their 2nd album, “Ghost Writers In Disguise.”
