The Arrival, formed by a close knit group of friends in the fall of 2004, dove head first into their career by writing and recording their debut EP "Residence Lift" over only a few short months in early 2005. The EP was tracked and produced by Matt Goldman at Glow in the Dark Studios in Atlanta, GA and received praise by both online communities (such as absolutepunk, myspace, and purevolume), and a quickly growing fan base on the east coast garnered by relentless self-supported touring. "Residence Lift" drew the attention of numerous independent labels with the band's innate ability for songwriting. In late 2006, the band grew tired of the monotonous, played out music surrounding them. The members all decided to further explore their individual influences, bringing to the table a multitude of musical styles. This marked the beginning of an intense period of writing and recording. The Arrival turned heads once again in early 2007 by releasing a set of self written, recorded, and produced songs that have a much more distinct, unique sound. Drawing on influences ranging from Justin Timberlake to Usher to The All-American Rejects, The Arrival shows off a sound so diverse with memorable hooks and arena sized choruses that fans of any genre can fall in love with. The band is currently continuing to write and record new music as well as taking the stage all over the east coast.
