Wolfbox is the long awaited debut album from British musicians The Davey Brothers. In the 90's The Davey Brothers helped breath life back into the British Blues scene when their powerhouse blues band The Hoax rumbled through the decade, sparking Q Magazine to proclaim them the new Rolling Stones, and sweeping up 5 consecutive British Blues Awards and an induction into the British Blues Hall Of Fame for good measure. Since The Hoax split, both Robin and Jesse have been cementing a reputation as much sought after musicians and producers, as well as cutting edge film makers. In 2004 they appeared on the Golden Globe winning soundtrack to Alfie, performing with Mick Jagger, Joss Stone and Dave Stewart. The Davey Brothers have since had their own music featured on a host of major sound tracks including, In The Valley Of Elah, Friday Night Lights and Tomb Raider 2. The latter featured The Davey Brothers alongside Angelina Jolie in the official video for the movie. Jesse's incendiary guitar techniques have earned him a reputation as one of the worlds most exciting players and has been invited to play with Mick Jagger, Ringo Star, Sting, Buddy Guy and performed with Stevie Ray Vaughan's legendary backing band Double Trouble. As producers The Davey Brothers scored a top 3 Billboard Blues Charts album when they helmed the eponymous release by US Blues-Rockers Indigenous. The album included a top 20 AAA Radio Hit co-penned by Jesse and Robin. Since then Jesse has produced and written a string of highly successful albums and songs, most notably for Mato Nanji, Aynsley Lister and Scott Mckeon. On the other side of the Atlantic, Robin has found success as one half of Los Angeles based eclectic pop duo The Bastard Fairies scoring over a million downloads with their debut album 'Memento Mori'. Given their beginnings in British Blues it may seem surprising that the Davey Brothers have both earned themselves an international reputation as new generation film makers. Having collaborated on an award winning short in 2001 the brothers have since taken separate paths on their film making exploits, however both have ended up at a very similar juncture. Jesse has directed feature projects for Interscope Records as well as big budget music videos for Gavin Rossdale, Australian popsters Raen and Papa Roach, whose Hollywood Whore video earned him an award nomination at the 2009 Kerrang Awards for Best Video. Robin recently directed music videos for Jet and Buckcherry. His debut feature documentary 'The Canary Effect' - an exploration into the hidden genocide of Native Americans, won The Stanley Kubrick Award for Bold and Innovative Film Making at Michael Moore's Traverse City Film Festival. 2010 sees the release of The Davey Brothers debut album Wolfbox. Recorded in both the UK and Los Angeles the album is a high octane ride through The Davey Brothers many musical forays. Wolfbox is brimming with riotous riffs, catchy choruses and ballsy beats. Indigenous make an appearance on the shuffle laden Girl Is Mine, international pop sensation Katy Perry contributes backing vocals to the soaring chorus of Baby Please, while former Hoax band mates bring some familiarity to the Jimmy Reed classic Baby What You Want Me To Do.
