The Flowdown

The Flowdown integrates rock, jazz, funk, and hip-hop to convey peace through musical potency. The group blends lush instrumental arrangements and thoughtful melodies with explosive rhythms and reflective rhymes, offering fresh grooves for audiences of all kinds. The band's founding members began their careers in 2003 performing as 'Flowdown Street Six' for college audiences, and eventually as the opening act for artists Jurassic 5 and Keller Williams. Upon recording the debut album "The Synthesis" in 2005, the band's songs received multiple Top 10 Channel Awards democratically chosen by listeners on OurStage.com, including a number 1 Channel Ranking for the 10K Lakes Festival of 2008. In 2009, the band evolved as 'The Flowdown' - an entirely new lineup out of New York City. The group began collaborating with artists and co-creating new organizations, such as the Green Bus Tour Artists, to share practices for sustainable living through music.
