Throw your favorite British Invasion bands together in a blender (not the magazine), throw in some sugar sweet melodies, run them through a Vox AC 30 amp set to 11, add a little reverb and there you have it! The perfect recipe for ear candy sure to please all seven of your music loving senses. The band now consists of frontmen Jason George on lead vocs and guitars, Jacob Beck on Lead guitars and lead vocals, Lance 'Tater' Beck on Drums and percussion, and Cody Hartman on Bass Guitars. They have been together since 2009 in their current Line-up and are all in their 20's and early 30's. They gave recorded two, count 'em TWO full length albums entitled "Personal Raincloud" and "Modern Fables" which they will be releasing simultaneously. They got together based on the fact that Jason, Jacob and Lance all played together since childhood and in a band called ShakeRadio that disbanded in 2005, then added Cody on bass and things started rollin'!. They soon got back to work after the break-up of that project and were intent on obtaining a raw, organic sound which resulted in their current projects, Personal Raincloud and Modern Fables. The albums exploit infuences as obvious as The Beatles as heard on the track "Cherry Blonde Bomb", then swings into Oasis territory with the focus on big choruses like on "Inventing The Future". They also attempted new sounds that bring to mind Indie rockers Brian Jonestown Massacre, while also dialing in Bakersfield Tele licks with songs like "Put it Past me" and "Cry For Me". Songs like "Liquid Sunshine" call to mind early Mersey Beat groups who were bent on getting that Motown sound, while the epic "Make That Sound" that opens album 2 is a 60's slice of power pop phsychedelia. More than anything, the guys hope their music is fun to listen to. Not the kind that drags you down with woe is me lyrics, but songs that point to a break in the clouds when things are at their worst. So if you like chimy guitars and super catchy melodies, The Georges may just be the band for you. Check out more of our music: http://www.mymusicsite.com/thegeorges
