The Longview Gunslingers, formed in late 2003, are a Chunky Blend of Funk, Reggae, Blues, Jazz, Hip-hop and Jam rock, with catchy hooks and hypnotic grooves. From the start, the Gunslingers have always been able "to draw people in" no matter what happens, by the end of the first song everyone with in range of the music will be dancing front and center. They are never afraid to take chances, and can take risks due to the tight core of musicians that make the up the LGS, they have been long time friends and have been playing with each other in various projects over the last 11 years. The longevity of their musical relationships allows the Longview Gunslingers to have a special tightness and almost telepathic communication with each other during their songs, from the spaciest jam to a hard driving funk groove, they always know what the other guy is going to do. The Longview Gunslingers have put out 2 albums to this day and are working on their next studio release. Over the last 4 years the LGS have had the pleasure of playing with musicians from all over the north east and have performed with acts like; Max Creek, Rev Tor Band, Strange Folk, Depth Quartet, One Sweet World, the Equalites, and many many more. Coming into 2008 the Longview Gunslingers are very excited, as their following seems to grow exponentially at every show, the Gunslingers find themselves playing to bigger and bigger crowds of very hungry fans that keep coming out over and over again.
