Radio stations and magazines were very intrigued to find out what these girls were all about. It was then that The New, formerly known as A.K.A., decided to take this “group” thing to the next level.
The New is Lori Garrote (singer/guitarist) and Natalie Martinez (singer/bassist). They have shared the stage with famous acts such as Michelle Branch, Avenue D, JD Natasha, New York Dolls, 2 Live Crew, Marky Ramone and many more. Their pop/punk sound and demanding stage presence makes them hard to ignore.
During this frenzy, there were high demands for a full length album. It wasn’t until they met John Thomas, a 2x Grammy winning producer, that they were able to complete this project. After two long years, the album has finally been released and is now on sale on CD BABY and ITunes.
