About The Sunkissed Barrelabisca
Hailing from Shreveport, Louisiana, The Sunkissed Barrelabisca juxtaposes an array of genres and musical styles to create their signature blend of Rock, Metal, Reggae, Funk, Psychedelic Trip Hop and Jazz Fusion. Comprised of Chris Hemingway(Vocals), Curt Nesbit(Drums), Matt Spears(Guitar), Trey Dion(Bass) and Dustin Bowen(Keyboards), The Sunkissed Barrelabisca have been as a collective band since the dawn of 2005. Building their very own Bretheren Studios from the ground, the band released their debut, studio LP, “All Of This”, through Brethren Records, as well. Influenced by such industry artists who include The Mars Volta, Bjork, Radiohead, 311 and Led Zeppelin, The Sunkissed Barrelabisca has creatively created a trilogy concept album. As “All Of This In One Hollywood Kiss” has already spawned the success of the band's debut, the second and third installments of the album compilation will be released in early 2009 & early 2010 respectively. Capturing specific moments in time, along their musical evolution, the trilogy stands as a testament of the trials, tribulations and triumphs that have framed the success of the band, collectively. In one of their career defining tracks, “Wild Wars”, the song is the first record that was ever written for the band to perform. In contrast, the classically motivated song is the final track that will embody the trilogy compilation, symbolizing that the beginning is in fact the end, and the end is merely the beginning. To promote their songs to the masses, The Sunkissed Barrelabisca has taken center stage at such venues that include The House of Blues in New Orleans, as well as a slew of concert tours across the Louisiana region. They have been privileged to receive radio airplay via a variety of Internet Radio Stations. Garnering over half of a million hits via MySpace, The Sunkissed Barrelabisca have also exposed themselves via youtube by starring in a music video for their “Sarepta Her Majesty” single. As their music is stripped of the secular, mundane sound that classifies the sound and style of many other artists, bands and groups, The Sunkissed Barrelabisca aspire to land a major record deal that will allow them to reach a new plateau in their music careers. Ultimately, as the band continues to write, record and distribute their sound to the masses, they stand on the pulse of reinventing the mainstream sound of American Music.
