TTH is driven by a fire that burns in all four of them to express themselves. They take any stage they're asked, hell bent on making a connection. And their songs are what make that connection. Full of driving funk rhythms, passionate vocals, and powerful instrumentals. "A lot of people write songs they think other people want to hear. We wouldn't waste our time with that. We speak for ourselves and then let you be the judge of what you like", says DH Bennett (bassist). Louise (Singer) says, "at shows we get a lot very heartfelt Thankyou's. People say things like, 'We needed this'. I think its the honesty and intensity in our playing that people appreciate". The band are not just writers and performers they are also true music lovers. In their collections are albums by anyone from Ravi Shankar to Motley Crue. They all have their faves though. Singer, Louise Ziazan is obsessed with the Police. While Drummer, Brandon Kapral, is a closet metal head. The other two (Marcus Aurelius and DH Bennett) love Jimi Hendrix with a religious devotion. Bassist DH Bennett is particularly a rock dork. He once challenged Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins to a live "rock n' roll jepoady" match. It was called a draw. The band formed in late 2006. They put out an EP under their first name, Ziazan, which sold out its first run. By March 07' they were sporting The Thieves Hymn and recording their first LP at The Hangar studios, in Sacramento California. It is owned and run by one of the driving forces behind Tape Op magazine, John Baccigaluppi. Released last fall, "No Time for Doubt" was called an "excellent album" by Performer Magazine's Matt Beale. The Thieves played plenty of successful gigs in San Francisco including The Great American Music Hall and John Lee Hooker's Boom Boom Room. They've since relocated to the east coast, landing in Ithaca New York. Things are going well in their new home. They've shared stages with Yo Mamma's Big Fat Booty Band, Jsan and the Analogue Sons, and Blue Sky Mission Club.
