The Voice, featuring Patty Bobo The Voice has come together from a group of musicians who love “Woodstock era” music and share a passion for the stylings of artists ranging from Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughn to the soulful ballads of Etta James.  They all feel the need to play it, sing it and, most of all, rock it.  Instead of a long list of bands they have played in or people of note they sat in with, let’s just say each has been performing for over twenty years.   Patty Bobo started performing as a teenager.  She has played throughout the Bay Area, everywhere from “Lou’s Pier 47” in San Francisco to Robinson Rancheria Casino in Upper Lake County.  Patty’s command of the stage has taken her from the humble venues of local farmer’s markets to the big stage at area casinos and beyond.  Her distinctive vocal prowess and exhilarating performances have turned many a head. JD White, originally from the blues rich area of southern Illinois just south of St Louis, has been a long time bass player for Patty Bobo.  He has now stepped up to the front of the band with his white Stratocaster guitar, displaying his passion for the blues, the styling's of Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughn and the 60s' sound of bands such as Jefferson Airplane to Led Zeppelin. JD has been seen on many stages in the bay area from “Lou's Pier 47” in San Francisco to the many casino's in the north bay. Anywhere you see him he is tearing up the fret board with the best of them. Gary Tabbert started his musical career in the 60’s, playing bass guitar in the Midwest under the gaze of Mt. Rushmore and is now an inductee in the South Dakota Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.  Life happened and he took several years off from music, but could not stay away.  After taking several music courses at a local Junior College to get back into musical shape, he has played bass in Rhythm & Blues, Jazz and Rock & Roll bands in the North Bay area. Greg Call started playing guitar in junior high school and continued in the jazz band through his high school years.  Greg has since been in several working Sonoma County bands and has performed throughout the Northern California club circuit. Don Vescovi started playing drums in 7th grade when some friends asked him to join their band to play at a school dance.  Since then, he has played in bands covering musical genres from Rock and Metal to Jazz and Funk.  Don has been able to utilize his previous vocal training, as well, by adding his vocals to the mix while providing a rock solid basis for the rhythm section. Together, the band forms a nearly spiritual connection to the sixties and the iconic music of that era.  The Voice, with the dynamic vocal presence of Patty Bobo, is the perfect entertainment for any venue, whether it be a night club stage, a summer festival performance or a private party in your back yard.
