Tintu was born on June 28 in Hollywood, Fl to immigrant parents who came from India in search of the American Dream in the land of opportunities. However, this American Dream had a rough start. Her father worked as a shoe salesman and with her mother in school, Tintu’s family struggled to survive. She began her life in a tiny apartment where money was scarce but love came free. Regardless of their tight financial situation, her parents managed to send her to private school, where her talent was first discovered. Tintu’s kindergarten music teacher was trying to find a soloist for the spring musical and thought that Tintu’s voice fit the part perfectly. Although, it was the only solo in the whole musical, her teacher was confident in her talent. At the age of 4, Tintu was the youngest soloist to perform in the history of that school. This would mark the beginning of her love and desire to become a performer. From that point forward, Tintu would take any and every opportunity to sing and perform. Throughout grade school, she became extensively involved in the adult choir at her church, singing as an alto. At the age of 11, she began taking vocal lessons to refine her craft. At 13, after noticing the lack of involvement of the youth in the choir, Tintu helped form the junior choir at her church. Consequently, she became the choir director. In high school, Tintu immersed herself into American Musical Theater where she performed in various musicals such as Grease and Bye Bye Birdie. All the while, she still spent countless hours working with the children in the junior choir and arranging original music for the annual Christmas pageant. In the 2002 Christmas show, her first original song “Hallelujah” was performed by the junior choir and was a hit with the crowd. This was the start of her songwriting career. Despite her busy schedule, she kept singing and performing at various community venues. However, motivated to take it to the next level in her career, she began working with different artists and producers in the South Florida area. Tintu began working with Frank Nitts, rap artist and co-owner of Tropix Entertainment. This professional relationship brought out the best of Tintu’s talent and helped cultivate her craft as a songwriter. Tintu is currently working with various producers including STREETRUNNER whose clientele include Lil Wayne, Fat Joe and many others. Her latest song "It's Over Now" was produced by Mista Melodik who has worked with R&B sensation 112. Tintu is excited for what the future has in store for her. The sky is the limit for this artist and in her words “there is no finish line.”
