Tip The Van will rock you. Formed in 2002, this female fronted power-ska, dance-pop, reggae-rock band from central Connecticut knows how to groove you, move you, and have a blast doing it. They are currently in the studio recording a new EP to be released around the time of their January 2009 tour with Reel Big Fish and Streetlight Manifesto. Joining up with the Vans Warped Tour in the summers of 2005 and 2006, they've played all over the east coast and into the Midwest. The band has shared the stage with a number of their main influences and favorite bands, including RX Bandits, Reel Big Fish, Streetlight Manifesto, MU330, Catch 22, Westbound Train, The Slackers, Big D and the Kids Table, Against Me!, Alkaline Trio, Mustard Plug, The Pietasters, The Toasters, and Less Than Jake to name a few. Hartford Advocate Grand Band Slam dubbed them the winners of "Best Punk/Reggae/Ska Band" three years in a row, and they were featured in Cal Magazine (of the Hartford Courant) and on the cover of the Hartford Advocate in July 2006. Tip The Van has three studio albums as well as three full live recordings. Their newest studio full-length released by Asbestos Records and entitled Something Wicked, is available at shows and online at Interpunk.com, CDbaby.com, and iTunes. TTV is also featured on compilation CDs released by Asian Man Records, Asbestos Records, TopShelf Records, and others. Stay tuned for sneak-peeks of their new EP, and look out for tour dates in a city near you!
