Sometimes there is guitar played like a celestial sweep or a power-packed punch by Justin Mayfield, but sometimes Justin plays bass -- a dirty bass that wraps around Jordan Miller's driving drums and hurls the band into another dimension. In 2006, TV Babysitter got its start as in the halls of Muhlenberg College located in Allentown, PA. It was there that Mike, Matt, Jordan and Justin decided to have some fun playing quirky, crazy, diabolically brain-melting rock. After three years of expanding its fan base from Allentown, PA to the greater Philadelphia region, TV Babysitter made the decision to record its first full-length album, "What Has Science Done?," in the spring of 2009. But this record was to be made by the mad scientists themselves -- self-recorded and self-produced with room for spine tingling experiments. After months of brewing coffee, twisting knobs, and poking buttons, Mike, Matt, Justin and Jordan emerged from the basement studio with 11 radioactive tracks to be set loose upon the world. TV Babysitter's smart and edgy songwriting, wildly zany stage performances, and hideously hair-raising debut album make the band a death ray to look out for.
