National's Untold Story has opened for:Marc Rizzo (Of Soul Fly)First off we would just like to tell you that we are a LIVE band, Yea recordings are ok for not having gone to a studio but come and see us LIVE and we promise you a Great, fun energy filled show. Thanks Untold Story has a lot of history behind it. In the fall of 2000, Jon and Kyle got together with a mutual friend and created the group Negative Zero. Their dream was to make it big in the music world. However, group tensions destroyed the project before it could gather much steam. The following summer, Jon and Kyle practiced all the time, nearly every day. A year later, Jon went to college, and the two went their separate ways. Kyle joined a band called CTN (Closer than Not). It was a huge success among the Flint area listeners. Jon joined a band in Kalamazoo called Atherton that played several shows and received a lot of critical acclaim. Both groups recorded albums, but neither one really got much exposure outside of their own circles. Marty got into a band called Jagged Truth which would have been a huge hit, but they never played any shows. It fell apart after the guitar player moved without notice. While Jon wasted away in Kalamazoo, Marty and Kyle became good friends. They jammed every now and then just for fun, but never really thought anything of it. Time passed and Jon started to come around more often to hang out with Kyle. He moved back from Kalamazoo, and they formed The Morning After which was Kyle, Jon, and Jagged Truth's bass player Phill. They played every week and put on a few shows, but like time and time before, the members got busy and disbanded. Jon and Kyle stuck around and kept on jamming.Soon Marty was sick of waiting for his band to start again, so he got with Kyle and started talking about forming a band. They had always played together, but not as a group. The time came to be serious about the band. They needed serious players and players who wanted to make it big. Kyle called Jon and proposed the band's offer to him. Surprisingly, Jon said yes. Soon they got together and loved the sound they created. As a test run, they made a few demos and got a great response. So they decided to try it, started writing like crazy, recorded demos and got their name out there. But the band wasn't complete, it still needed a bass player. Here in the good ole' town of Flint, there aren't many good musicians. The band went through several auditions, but to no avail. Then late one night, Jon entered Starlite in search of food and ended up finding a musician. It was none other than Karl, an old friend of all three members. After striking up some late night conversation, Karl hinted that he would like to audition. When that day came, the band was blown away, and with one fell swoop, Karl, the axe-master, became the chief source of bump and grind for the band. The only thing that was left now was a name. The band started as Unnamed, then moved on to Stacy Says No, but quickly dropped that. As a joke, they began calling themselves Captain Hook and the Ten Inch Worms. Then one day it hit them. With all of their fans and friends following their other bands, the new band represented an Untold Story, a path that hadn't yet happened. As they uncover each page in their story, this site will keep you updated. Untold Story wants you to know that they appreciate every single one of their fans...without fans, the band would be nothing. So keep watching, listening and spreading the word...Untold Story is here to stay. Thank you for your support.
