About Vega: The HeartBreak Kid
St. Louis, MO
Orlando Rowe, known as Vega: Heart Break Kid was born Dec. 19, 1987 in St Louis, Missouri and raised in the now infamous U-City area. Vega is a prolific Producer and Artist who has, in just a short time, established himself as a true hit maker. Under the guidance of his older brother and mentor Bradd Young, Vega learned the art of music production/song writing and soon began to conduct sessions of his own. Before long, his hidden talent was manifested on projects for Black Persian Music (the production company he co-owns with his brothers) and on other outside endeavors. While providing production and engineering on projects for other artists he soon realizes that his contributions of writing lyrics and hooks, vocal arranging and coaching, and even laying down lay-over vocals for some clients was preparing him for the next level.
In less than 1year, he dropped 2 mix tapes; the first being "Hidden Talent", a fresh release with pure energy and enthusiasm which clearly showcased his production I. Q. and glowing potential as a young "spitter". The second, Dooms Day, exhibited amazing growth and had previous non believers asking for more. "I want to be a force in the rap game. I'm on something different every time I pickup a mic to record. I want to bring my positive lyrics and put some flavor to them. I have music to ride to when you're enjoying the night life and smooth feel good music when you're just relaxing or at ease. I want to be one of the best to ever do it. I do all types of music, there's no certain title u can actually put on me. I do what I feel and when u do that it all comes out much better".
It has been 2 years since Vega quietly emerged on the scene with successful projects with MC featuring Chingy the hot single “Pull Up.” The vibe between MC and the Kid continued with another banga for the radio “Get it Crackin” in 2007. Early 2007 Vega took on a St. Louis collaboration called “Peace up put the arch down” with Ludy, Aye-verb, Ebony Eyez, Joka and Dots. His production career is in full swing now with St Louis’ own June 5th featuring Snoop Dogg, “Worst Day” and MC's “I’m Cool” featuring Twista, Chingy, & Ebony Eyes currently blazing radio. Not one to rest on previous successes, Vega is planning 2 release his own debut single "What I'm On" which will surely confirm how TRUE he really is. With an ambition production schedule and work ethic, he looks forward to showing off his lyrical talents and building a career as a stand out artist. Vega is an essential part of music's future.
