Hello, my name is Violeta Martin. Ever since the age of five I knew my gift was singing. I sang in high school, church choir, and with various mariachi groups. I was born in Los Angeles and raised in Guadalajara were I became fluent in Spanish and developed a true appreciation for my Hispanic heritage. After several years in Guadalajara, I moved back to California and am currently living in Mammoth Lakes. It is here that I found my biggest inspiration. In the last year, I have had this burning desire to start writing love songs. My passion is for romantic Spanish music, the kind that infuses love. The drive behind my songs – I feel we are all warriors fighting to find love and when you have it, you will do anything to protect it. I was extremely fortunate to meet and team up with Byron Fry, a smokin’ guitar player. He took my melodies and did all the arrangements. My songs and his compositional knowledge have made us an incredible musical phenomenon. We are currently working on nine more songs and pushing for the release of my CD in fall of 2008.
