Growing up in the heart of Alberta, Caleb Cummings and Chris Noble met at Living Springs Christian Fellowship in Airdrie Alberta, where they formed their permanent bond as part of a small Church youth group. Having both studied music since a very young age, their friendship was only natural and gave them both something to focus on together. Over the next ten years they both struggled together in the music industry trying to find their place, and coming to terms with their relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Chris had played extensively with Church worship teams at both Living Springs Fellowship and Centre Street Church in Calgary. Shortly after highschool they embarked on a series of Music based Mission trips to First Nations reserves in Saskatchewan and BC. This lead to some opportunities to play with acts such as Jars of Clay, Starfield, and Pillar. Caleb has been actively involved with EMCC in El Salvador, building houses for those displace by earthquakes and other natural disasters. It is here where his dedication to God and the poor became firmly entrenched. Chris studied music and sound reinforcement/recording at Prairie Bible College for four years, during this time he toured with the Prairie wind ensemble "Jubilation" to Churches, and shelters in western Canada. He also played Timpani/Percussion for the Alberta Wind Symphony in 2001. Over the years the two had many ups and downs, and eventually both moved to the Three Hills area in southern Alberta where they formed WakeUp StarLight in an effort to bring positive, and passionate music to their community. The song "One Step Away" was originally recorded and produced by Chris Grainger (Six Pence None The Richer, Switchfoot, Dc Talk, Rich Mullins, Mercy Me) in Nashville TN, but the band felt it was sterile and lacked passion, they locked themselves in their Three Hills studio, took the best elements from their Nashville sessions and reformed the song adding the "Amazing Grace" bridge. Resounding Records is a family based Christian record label based out of Alberta. Formed in 2010 by the Noble and Cummings families as a way to release the music of WakeUp StarLight and other Canadian Christian artists to a much wider audience, in the hopes that the music they release would be a light in the darkest www.wakeupstarlight.com www.resoundingrecords.com
