The title of my CD "Different Sides Of Me" best describes my music and me as an artist. My songs are an expression of all the things I love about music and life, from rock to hip hop.My genre is music and my sound is unique (its me) with no boundaries! Biography: Wandaliz Colon is a new, unique and innovative artist that offers a refreshing break from the music industry in it's present form. Her ability to sing multiple styles of music on one album makes the audience feel as though they are listening to multiple artists, singing multiple genres of music like a mix CD. Her capacity to do so makes Wandaliz a different type of artist, not only in her approach to music but her vocal delivery as well. Wandaliz Colon grew up in the small town of Edgewood, Maryland and on February eighth she began her quest for the spotlight modeling in front of the camera. Even as a baby the camera loved her and she certainly loved the camera. At the age of seven, Wandaliz found her love for the stage as a Barbizon Model and in the many beauty pageants she competed in. However it was Whitney Houston’s song “One Moment in Time” that inspired the young artists love for music and songwriting. Growing up in a Puerto Rican family gave Miss Colon an appreciation for music and dance " I'll never forget how me and my little brother use to blow everyone away at parties with our Merengue and how we would try to imitate the movie "Dirty Dancing", we would have been awesome dance competitors. In Wandaliz young career she has gathered an impressive list of performances from film to stage. In High School she found her love for acting, and since she has turned that experience into doing educational films for SHS Productions. She has also done film work for the National Institutes of Health Productions along with other theatre workshops, touring companies and voice-overs for various production companies. Wandaliz has enjoyed all of the fabulous film work she's done. Working on the set of "Women in Dental Research" for NIH was most rewarding since this film was targeted to empowering females as young as ten to pursue a male dominated career " It was also great fun using a green screen and playing many different characters". Wandaliz is very socially active, this mixed with her incredible looks, warm personality, great performances and a heart of gold; make her a unique catch for any record company in today’s market where so many artist are plagued by run ins with the law. " I feel one of my greatest accomplishments, was as President of the Spanish Honor Society, where I organized a charity dance to raise money for the American Red Cross relief aid in El Salvador after a disastrous earthquake. It was a total success and nothing would make me happier than to be powerful enough one day to make great change in the world."When asked about her musical offering Wandaliz stated " Well I felt like I was taking a big chance by doing many different styles on one demo, but I love music and I honestly felt that if there really was an A&R Rep looking for something new, that they would think of my album as a breath of fresh air." When asked about her favorite genre of music she responded. " I love Latin pop but I also like to mix it up with some edgier music. That is why I adore Shakira, we have some of the same taste." Wandaliz is finishing up her CD entitled “Different Sides Of Me” a multiple genre CD Which covers everything from pop/rock to Raggeaton. “ I really love my CD. One of my personal favorites is “Don’t Judge Me” It Takes me through a tough period in my life and shows how I had the balls to do what I wanted to do, despite what everyone else thought I should do.”“ As for the future, I would love for my CD to make a ton of moneyX ! Mainly so I can have the power to make great change in the world and be known as an international artist, not tied down to one specific genre. If anything recording this CD was a growing experience that taught me the truth behind the phrase “ Misery loves company” people love to see you fail, but for me failure is not an option.”
